Story of the wine
CHANTEL, means “girl who sings” in the French language. It is also the name of a small village of Alliers, whose forests make the wood barrels that enrich wines from around the world, completing a natural cycle of wine aging.
From the heart of France, at the origins of the Way of Santiago, and from the whole Union of the brotherly peoples of Europe, the grapes that have been used for making our most popular wine arrive at Caves Campelo.
A special selection of red grapes Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca was made by Mrs. Nélia Gonçalves during the harvest time in september 2018. From here has remained an alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 10 days, during which there have been two daily pumping in order to extract the full potential of each variety.
Chantel shows a deep ruby color. At mouth you will feel notes of ripe red fruits and wild fruits nuances.
Intense and smooth bodied with round tannins leading to a round texture
