Story of the wine
The beautiful cave of Montesinos is located near Bodegas Bleda. In it came Don Quixote de la Mancha, falling into a magical dream that lasted one hour, although Don Quixote seemed like three days. There he met Montesinos, recurrent character of the Castilian epic literature.
A dream wine, elegant and classic, Castilian culture of La Mancha, in the way of the stars.
The two varieties (90% Monastrell and 10% Tempranillo) were harvested and processed separately during the month of October 2015. During 8 days juices were separatedly macerated at 8 degrees. Afterwards they were fermented at 25 degrees 8 days more. And then, each wine remained in steel tanks until January 2016. At the beginning of new year, wines were blended and they stayed 12 months more in American and French barrel. On February of 2017 Montesinos was bottled and it was kept time enough for being considered Crianza and reaching perfection for tasting from February 2018 onwards.
Cherry red color. It has rich bouquet; the woodiness of the crianza is present but it combines well; it has hints of coconut, vanilla, balsamic and minerals on top of a fine fruity substructure with a light touch of mushrooms. On tasting it is pleasant with body and warmth, tannic without being rough, with tannins that are concentrated, delectable and clean to the palate and very persistent.
