Story of the wine
Taking the name of NAVARRA, Bodegas Bagordi of DO RIOJA prepared its most special label for this very especial wine: Navardia.
The label means a lauburu (“4 heads” in Basc language), symbol of Basc People who dewelled the notth of the Kingdom of Navarra. It is also a flower because this wine is organic: it is cultivated and made by natural fruits and systems.
Rioja del Reyno is therefore the name of the sub-area of Rioja, at the final left bank of Ebro River, where Navarra people made the most appreciated wines amongst us.
Navardia is made from a rich coupage of grapes: 65% Tempranillo, 25% Graciano and 10% Garnacha. From selected grapes of our organic vineyards, we get this fruity and rounded wine noted for its intensity and elegance. It reachs 14 degrees of alcohol, and it is aged during 12 months in french & american oak barrels.
Intense red cherry color, hues of red tinged with violet, abundant red tears clean and bright. Luscious and intense nose, red forest fruits, raspberry, redcurrant, spices (black pepper, licorice) with a judicious blend of hints of vanilla and roasted flavors. In has a powerful mouth, lively tannins that will improve with bottle age and abundant fruit, enhanced by the flavors provided by the wood. Long after-taste.
To be served at a Temperature of 16-18 Degrees C.
Remark: Due to the special conditions under which this wine is made, modest amounts of sediment may accumulate at the bottom of the bottle. We suggest this wine to be decanted.
